Have you ever wished therapy worked faster?
That's what an intensive is all about. Traditional therapy typically takes place an hour at a time and working on relational issues can take months or years. If you are just beginning couples or family therapy, an intensive gives you a chance to jump start the process. If you are already in therapy, an intensive is a helpful way to work on those areas that are blocking progress in your current therapy.
Intensives are for couples or families who would like to have extended therapy time to address relational distress. The intensives are customized to your need. It may be a single day (4-6 hours) or over the course of two days (8-12 hours). All sessions include a licensed therapist, and in the case of families, may include a second clinician.

Why horses?
There are several reasons we choose to use horses in this work, but primarily it is due to their nature as a social and prey animal. As a result of this nature, they have an extraordinary ability to read our nonverbal communication – picking up on messages we are sending which we are not always conscious we are doing. With this, they start responding to us in familiar ways reminding us of other people and things in our life. It is through this they become metaphors (symbols) providing us the opportunity to work on ourselves in relation to those aspects of our lives.
