I help people deepen their understanding of themselves and grow in their relationships with the people who matter most to them. I believe that relationships are the foundation of health and happiness in all areas of life: physical, emotional, social and spiritual.
I am an experienced supervisor and registered with the Oregon Board of Psychology for supervision of post-doctoral residents and the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists for supervision of masters level interns and associates. Additionally, I am available for clinical consultation. My supervision & consultation rate is $200/hour and may be prorated for 30 minute visits.
Attachment is a survival skill. From the time we are born, we are dependent on human connection for physical and emotional health. We develop a sense of the world from the safety and security (or lack thereof) we experience in our early relationships. These experiences inform the coping strategies we engage throughout life.
My work is based on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-focused, research-based model. I work with individuals, couples, and families. The EFT model prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions.
I am an in-network provider for several insurance companies. Additionally, I may be able to bill your insurance as an out of network provider or can provide a “super bill” for you to request reimbursement from your insurance company as an out of network cost.
My current fees are:

Therapy can be expensive and the cost of seeing a licensed therapist is sometimes a barrier to obtaining needed mental health services.
As part of my commitment to making low cost services available AND training the next generation of therapists, I supervise graduate students from George Fox University. These students are highly trained and operate under my professional license. They are able to offer therapy services for a cash fee of $40/visit. I am an Eagala-certified mental health provider. Eagala is an experiential form of psychotherapy where horses are involved in the sessions.
You can read more about the EAGALA Model at www.eagala.org .
Why horses?
There are several reasons we choose to use horses in this work, but primarily it is due to their nature as a social and prey animal. As a result of this nature, they have an extraordinary ability to read our nonverbal communication – picking up on messages we are sending which we are not always conscious we are doing. With this, they start responding to us in familiar ways reminding us of other people and things in our life. It is through this they become metaphors (symbols) providing us the opportunity to work on ourselves in relation to those aspects of our lives.
